Missing: An Effective Illinois Attorney General
7/17/2012
Illinois Republican Party Chairman Pat Brady issued the following statement regarding Lisa Madigan's "neglect" of her duties as Illinois Attorney General:
"Illinois desperately needs an effective Attorney General. Recent reports brought into the light by the Belleville News Democrat show a clear failure on the state's part to thoroughly investigate several deaths that could have been avoided had the proper oversight agencies done their jobs."
"The recent investigation by the BND is just another example of Lisa Madigan neglecting her role as Attorney General. Gun violence in Chicago is at an all time high, Chicago-style corruption is being exported to the suburbs, and state agencies are incapable of investigating mismanagement that has deadly results. Where is Lisa Madigan?
Not everyone in Illinois has the ability or resources to have the law firm of Madigan and Getzendanner to look after them."
