Bill Brady on State's Lower Bond Rating: 'Quinn has driven our state into the ground'
6/7/2010
Statement from Bill Brady, Republican Candidate for Governor on news that Moody's has lowered the state's bond rating:
“Today’s report is yet another independent voice proving the failed economic policies of Governor Quinn has driven our state into the ground.
"The decision by Moody’s to further downgrade our credit now leaves Illinois second only to California as the worst in the nation.
"While the Governor continues to blame others for his failures, Moody’s cited a ‘chronic failure of political will’ for this downgrade. Voters have had enough. We need a clean break in Illinois.
"As Governor, I’ll clean up the state’s fiscal mess and end the politics-as-usual of the Blagojevich/Quinn Administration.”
