Illinois GOP mourns passing of Rep. Rich Myers

Illinois Republican Party Chairman Pat Brady issued the following statement regarding the passing of State Representative Rich Myers:

"I am saddened at the loss of Representative Rich Myers, and I want to extend my condolences to his family, staff and to all of the voters of his district. Fighting his battle with cancer to the very end, Rich won re-election to a ninth term last month. He was a valued member of the General Assembly, using his expertise as a farmer and a businessman to serve on the House Appropriations-Higher Education, Agriculture and Conservation, State Government Administration, and Elections and Campaign Reform committees. He will be missed."
